F6 (2).... ISLAMABAD Designed for an interior designer this house spreads out on the site creating a very strong relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. The drawing room being outside the main house not only provides the much needed privacy and segregation for entertaining guests, but also reinforces this indoor outdoor relationship further. The client’s love for detailing and decoration dictated rigorous design of each space, and use of different materials to create varying effects. One enters the house through a garden courtyard. Once in the entry hall, the views open up, to the back lawn beyond the interior spaces, and up towards the first floor via double height spaces. The main floor public spaces are informal and inviting with natural light, views and generous floor plans to inhabit and entertain. All amenities like theater, games room etc are provided in the basement and an independent access to the basement is created in the side alley |
